“ With temperatures soaring into the high 90s this summer, we decided to skip dining in at the restaurant when we noticed the A/C didn't seem to be working. Instead, a sign for pupusas on the road caught our eye as we headed to Guanatajo Bakery, and we knew we had to stop and order some. The pupusas are made fresh to order and take about 20 minutes to prepare. You can choose from pork, chicken, or veggie fillings. We opted for a mix of pork and chicken, and at just $2 each, they're incredibly reasonably priced. By the time we got home, they were still hot and came with a side of Salvadoran pickled vegetables and both red and green salsas--the green being the spicier of the two. These pupusas were absolutely delicious--cheesy, warm, and downright satisfying. For anyone looking to try them, I recommend calling ahead to place your order and picking them up. This spot has definitely become our go-to for pupusas. ”
“ One of the best places to get authentic pupusas in the DFW area. The sauces and slaw is like it should be. I did take off one star since service was a bit slow, not sure if they were under staffed but they could do better. Will be back! ”
“ The atmospheres is great. I didn't wait long for my food and it was very delicious. I recommend this restaurant to anybody looking for authentic Central American food. ”
“ Excellent food and service! Don't let the size of the place fool you. Their pupasas and fried bananas are so good! They specialize in savory food from El Salvador. ”
“ I really love their tamales. They're giant lol, there's whole piece of chicken along with the half a potato in it but apart from it I love their fresh papusas too and of course their rest of the food is worth it too ”
“ I am just LOVING their new location! It's very spacious and beautifully decorated. It has this authentic feel to it! As soon as my parents and I walked inside we were greeted and told we could sit anywhere. The customer service has improved tremendously, not sure if they hired more people or perhaps they're just that attentive. I must say, it does take a little while for you to get your pupusa's because they are making them when you order them. It does not take a lot of time, but you do wait a little. It is totally worth it! Their pupusa's are nice and fluffy. The cheese is just delicious and everything tastes fresh. I have yet to find a pupuseria this good anywhere in the DFW area. The prices are ridiculously good for the quality of food you're getting. I highly recommend this place. ”
“ My admin told me about this new place she tried and wanted to know if I wanted to try it. Being an adventurous eater, I said yes. So with that, out she went and picked up lunch for us. It was my treat of course as I always take care of those who take care of me. I have never had a pupusas, but it was very good. She picked up a few different ones, cheese (Queso), cheese n bean (Queso com Frijoles), and one that had cheese, beans, and pork (Revueltas). I could only eat one as it was enough for me. I had the Revueltas along with some of their pickled cabbage which was very good as well. If you're an adventurous eater, it's worth a try. ”
